Seth  Bodnar has spent his life answering the call to serve: as a Green Beret in  the U.S. Army, as a business leader, and as president of the University of  Montana. He's led soldiers, turned around tough missions, and delivered  results without asking anyone's party registration first. Now he's running  for U.S. Senate because Washington stopped showing up for Montana - and  because he believes one strong local leader really can change everything.

Bodnar served as president of the University of Montana from 2018 until 2026, when he resigned to run for the U.S. Senate. Before that, he served as a Green Beret in the U.S. Army. He is running for Senate as an independent, without a party's nomination.

Montana's public lands are common ground — where  every Montanan, regardless of background or income, can hunt, fish, hike, and  roam. Seth will defend public access, oppose sell-offs to private and  out-of-state interests, and protect the clean air, clean water, and outdoor heritage that make Montana, Montana.

A starter home in Kalispell. A doctor within reach  in Forsyth. Heat through a hard winter on a fixed income. That shouldn't be  too much to ask. Seth will fight to bring housing, health care, and everyday  costs back in line with what Montana families actually earn — so Montanans  aren't priced out of their own state.

Utility monopolies shouldn't dictate your power  bill or stand between Montanans and energy independence. Seth backs an all-of-the-above, made-in-Montana energy approach that lowers bills, expands choice, and puts families, farms, and small towns — not monopolies — in control.

Ban members of Congress from trading stocks on insider information. Term limits. No Budget, No Pay. Slam the revolving door to K Street and drag dark money into the light. Seth's reform agenda holds Washington accountable to Montana, not party elites.

Neither. He appears on the Montana ballot as an independent candidate, without a party affiliation. He has pledged not to caucus with either party in the Senate — what his campaign calls the Independent Pledge — answering, in his words, to one boss: Montana.
